Jennifer Owens

Jennifer Owens practices primarily in the area of medical negligence defense. She represents physicians, hospitals and practice groups. She has also successfully represented physicians before the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.

Jennifer received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1997 and her B.A. from Texas A&M University in 1994.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

Medical Negligence Defense

• Successfully defended physician sued for more than $2 million in damages and alleged gross negligence in a medical malpractice case in Dallas County involving the implantation of intrathecal morphine pump; it resulted in a unanimous defense verdict

• Successfully defended physician sued for wrongful death alleging improper prescription of pain medications in Tarrant County

• Successfully defended physician in Dallas County in a case involving allegations of infection after epidural steroid injection and received a unanimous defense verdict

• Successfully defended physician sued for wrongful death alleging overdose of pain medication after knee replacement surgery in Gregg County and received unanimous defense verdict
